What to buy for a Bar Mitzvah

Excited to be attending my first Bar Mitzvah soon, but I have no idea what kind of thing to bring as a gift.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you Smile

Extra points if the sum of money is a multiple of 18 too, OP (18=chai=life - so often used with gifts as a means of wishing a long life/honouring a life)

Oh really? The only pointer I had was books but I couldn't get enthused. Money is easy at least!
