I have benefited greatly over the last year or so, from massage. I am going to do a workshop so that I can massage friends and family. But in researching this, I got a bit interested in the Diploma courses available. There are so many different types. Just wondering what professional massagers qualify in? All of them??

Sports, holistic, Thai etc

I have a level 3 diploma and level 4 certificate in sports massage. The course was quite expensive so I wouldn't be taking a diploma in the other disciplines because you'd be spending 10 grand before you made any money back. I'd recommend that you follow the training for the area of massage that most interests you.

I have done the Itec Level 3 in anatomy, physiology and massage qualification. It's one of the best to do first as it means you can go on to do shorter courses in deep tissue, Indian head massage and sports massage if you want.
