Internal cutlery drawers - are they annoying?

About to finalise my kitchen plan and having second thoughts about the internal drawer-in-drawer cutlery tray.

Logic says I will be opening two drawers every time I want a teaspoon - is it annoying or do you get used to it?

I love ours - you get used to it.

Horrible things😱
DD had this in her new kitchen in a previous house. 'What a good idea' we all thought at first. It soon became a hated annoyance and she was glad to leave it when they moved house.

You get used to it really quickly

I thought this would be really annoying but you do get used to it really quickly and it's not a problem.

Did confuse elderly parents though!

They have a catch so you are only opening one drawer for your teaspoons. If you want stuff underneath in the big bit of the drawer, then you are opening another.

They work well when they work. The little catch thing on ours broke twice within months. I've given up replacing it now.

Hmm, about 50:50.

@thenightsky What make is yours with the clip? Not sure Howdens one’s have that.

I can't remember the make. We bought it from a local independent high end kitchen fitters. Its just the little plastic clip that sits at the front and holds onto the tray is very flimsy and DH is very heavy handed when throwing drawers open.
