Personalised mug, coffee and some sweets
Probably some craft stuff from school covered in glitter
Fil passed away just over a year ago so we try to keep things low key and get a balance of emotions

Soola · 08/06/2019 20:51

Nothing. We don’t do mother’s day or Father’s Day.

We do lots of nice things for each other throughout the year.

lucysmam · 08/06/2019 20:53

A tyre for his mountain bike.

SlimGin · 08/06/2019 21:20

So far I have one a DD's foot prints to use on a card and DD and I are going to a craft morning the day before so I'm hoping she can make something to give to him there. I'll also get him so beers and take him for lunch.

emwithme · 08/06/2019 21:33

Bottle of whisky
Book

Gertie75 · 08/06/2019 21:51

Toblerone, Maltesers and 'man spray', dd's are 4 and 6 and I ask them what they want to get him, the presents are from them not me.
It's the same on mother's Day, I'd hate to receive anything clearly chosen by dh.

indigo13 · 08/06/2019 23:32

I see that may look like I'm advertising! But no, I just thought a link would be easier than listing it's many functions... also buying lots of red wine to fill a new rack he recently bought and will make his favourite cake

jackparlabane · 09/06/2019 00:43

Home made cards, perhaps a cartoon or story, and breakfast in bed (will require my help). Dd plans to bake a cake (I just need to do the oven). We don't tend to buy stuff for the sake of it.

Stravapalava · 09/06/2019 09:13

A load of memorabilia from his football club. He asked for one thing, but we went a bit extra and got him some more stuff.

We've bought DFil tickets to a talk he'll be interested in.

MaidenMotherCrone · 09/06/2019 09:25

Nothing as he's not their Dad. The dog and cats have a nice morning planned for him though.
