I had my varicose veins treated under Benenden. The whole experience from first enquiry to the treatment itself was very positive.

My in laws are huge fans. Have had it for years, and although the distance to travel is quite a lot 1.5-2 hours, the service and care has been amazing.

I’ve looked into it, and I think it’s a great concept for a really good price. However I prefer a more comprehensive cover with gp appointments included. Dd and I are with Axa and pay £47 a month so only just over double Benenden but so much more included in the price.

Benenden are bloody marvelous in my opinion. Everytime I've used them they are fast, efficient and helpful.

@skippy67 I'm aware that this is a year old thread however I was hoping to speak to someone who had used Beneden! Can I ask if you had already been diagnosed with varicose veins previously by the NHS and were referred by your GP directly to Beneden/one of their partner hospitals for treatment? As they say they only cover diagnostic appointments and surgery. But I've already been diagnosed with my condition therefore I wouldn't need a diagnostic appointment. But at the same time, I can't just self refer for surgery. So I'm not sure what the state of play is. If you had your diagnosis already, did your GP just refer you straight for surgery?
