(Easy) hairstyles to disguise/distract from roots

I missed my hair appointment last week and have been punished with over an inch of very dark roots against blonde hair that I need to disguise next weekend when I go out for a posh meal.
Hair is just above my shoulders. I’m not naturally gifted in hair styling-day to day it’s either straightened and down or tied back
I can just about manage French plaiting but it’s not my forte ( but will practise!)
What’s the best way to style it?

I'm going with sunglasses on head until very overdue appointment for my roots on Saturday!

Yes that’s been a useful technique so far but can’t do that in restaurant (can I?!)

L’Oréal Magic Retouch is pretty good if there is a decent colour match. Otherwise if you are a fairly ashy blonde then Batiste dry shampoo (the original white one). A zigzag parting hides roots but needs careful execution so as not to look like a member of S Club 7.

I love my dark roots against my bleach blonde hair 😄.

Stick the front yo in a quiff Luke fashion fixed with Kirby grips:

at s club 7 parting-I rocked that one back in the day!

The irony is that I went blonde to disguise the abundance of grey hairs and now there’s no sign of them coming through at the roots!
