Ants! Sodding bastard ants

In my kitchen, on the kitchen side, in the kitchen cupboard, front room.

I can't work out where they are coming from, I keep cleaning everything but they are still coming back.

Have use a spray to kill and prevent them but it's clearly not working, I'm using dettol to clean everything 2/3 times a day.

Any other suggestions welcome

Bait needs to be outside NOT inside as this attracts more ants in.
Spend time looking for the ants outside and place bait around their trails, if you can't see any, place several baits.
Make your own bait, borax ( from Amazon) and honey works well.
If all this fails, get pest control in.

Get past control in. We had ants crawling out of the skirting boards and out from under the carpet, out of the fireplace and all over the kitchen. The pest control man came, sprayed everywhere, found where they were coming from and blocked it and we haven't had them back since. That was 2 years ago.

They were after the honey and lemon lozenges, I kept in the cupboard, cleared the cupboard on Tuesday and have kept it empty since. Have cleaned using dettol spray, neat vinegar, zoflora, washing up liquid (neat and diluted).

Skirting boards now resealed

Loads of ants outside front and back of the house.

Should of added that the lozenges went in the bin on Monday and the bins got collected Tuesday morning.

I like to think of them as an essential component of nature’s ecosystem.
We get them. I just keep food covered. I don’t put down toxic poisons. They leave after a while
