I’ve posted a toy with a battery in it - will they destroy it?

Had about 8 parcels at the post office and completely forgot that one had a battery! Was distracted by dc when they asked me. When I came out thought oh no, there is a battery in one (enclosed).
Will they destroy it?

Was it AA type battery or lithium ? Both are fine to post with whatever it powers and its only if a lithium battery is outside the item in works rather inside should a label be applied as a warning. Then it might get destroyed if picked up on scanner.

I work for post office :)

Oh thanks - no it was just a normal battery (not lithium) and it’s inside the toy ad bubble wrapped too.

That's absolutely fine then. It's just lithium batteries that cause the issues.
