Help me find - a particular bike at DS’ nursery

DS (4) has taught himself to ride a two wheeled pedal bike at nursery, without stabilisers. He has a balance bike at home. It looks like these have wider tyres than normal, and the tyres look pretty solid and almost flat where they make contact with the ground (which makes sense how he’s managed to teach himself - sounds like a bit of a transition bike). The frames are yellow-orange.

I know I can ask at nursery what make they are but there’s no guarantee they will actually know. Can the collective mind of mumsnet find these bikes for me?

PS my various google searches have not helped me

I'd just get an Islabike or similar very light brand and let him go for it. There is probably no need for another stepping stone.

These are fab bikes. My 11 year old finally learnt to ride on one of these.

Oh ignore me, I missed the pedal bit.

reefedsail · 04/06/2019 19:25

Are they these?

NeverWasABrownie · 04/06/2019 19:26

Lots of nursery bikes are made by Winther - could it be this one? https://www.edu-quip.co.uk/prod/29717/winther-circleline-bicycle

Sounds like the ones at our village nursery. They are called Rabo or something like that. They got them from one of the education sites like consortium or somewhere.
They had a big fundraising thing last year for new playground equipment and these were one of the things they got.

MummaGiles · 04/06/2019 19:38

@bloodywhitecat yes! That’s them!

At 4 I’d just get him a normal pedal bike though.

Leggyfrog · 04/06/2019 19:48

He will feel daft riding that in the park though once he sees what the other kids have. My Dd went from a balance bike to a normal bike at 4 - just get him a normal bike.

reefedsail · 04/06/2019 20:34

Good brand of kids bike is definitely the way forward.

MummaGiles · 04/06/2019 20:38

Oh yeah I wasn’t planning on getting him one! Was just interested. Going to get him a normal pedal bike at some point soon.
