Have you had any blood tests yet for your leg cramp? Is it swollen, discoloured? How long has it been cramped for without easing?

Stevia8 · 04/06/2019 18:03

iv had some bloods done with the ovary pain but unsure what they tested for, the cramps in leg have been coming n going all week but today my leg pain started around 9am and is still cramping now 6pm despite having a bath and elevating my legs. its not that bad that I am crying in pain but I had to keep lifting my leg of the floor at work today n then eventually asked to be seated as it was too uncomfortable to stand

Things that crossed my mind when reading your thread include dot (calf pain), rumbling appendicitis’s or gallstones (stomach pain, nauseous), or ovarian cyst.

All unusual periods should be investigated. You need to see your gp about these symptoms. They can investigate with blood tests, scans etc.

Dvt, not dot.

I had all same symptoms but pain was in thigh (also had endometriosis and myriad of other gynae probs, lots of ops). Eventually a laparoscopy found pelvic inflammatory disease where veins in pelvis were swollen to size of a man's thumb because blood not draining properly. Took 4 years to get a diagnosis so if you do hit brick walls ask for a laparoscopy.

Thankyou, i did have dilated viens in pelvis 7 years ago. Maybe there back

I have had 2 calf DVTs and they presented as just an unrelenting muscle cramp with no other symptoms until I started to also get wheezy and sweaty when going up stairs or even just walking (limping), this was because they had progressed to my lungs by that point. I have always had deep veins and hefty calf muscles though, its unusual to have no visible leg symptoms but not impossible.

If it's not relenting even with rest heat and elevation for a few days then it may be worth going to the walkin at your local hospital and asking to be assessed for DVT - the D-Dimer is the blood test to check your blood clot level (although even stubbing your toe will give you a small reading, your body deals with micro clots all the time as standard). A mahoosive reading is a pretty good indicator though, standard is about 200 I think and mine was 5,000...

I know you've had negative pregnancy test results but I had many of those symptoms with an ectopic pregnancy. I believe its possible to get negative test results in some cases of ectopic.
