Anyone gone abroad for varicose vein surgery?

Just wondering if anyone has travelled abroad for varicose vein surgery or any type of surgery for that matter? The price difference is very appealing and I'm just trying to do some research before deciding what to do.

I didn't travel abroad but I've had varicose vein treatment at the vein centre in Oxford- it's £1000's cheaper than a private hospital for the laser treatment- I can't remember what it's called.

Just checked it's called EVLA (EVLT/ Endovenous Laser Ablation)

Thanks Camden I just can't quite get my head around the cost of a fairly straightforward procedure will check it out.

I know, mine were pretty bad and right on my shin, I used to knock them when doing housework ect and once I passed out it was so bad.

NHS refused to help and said it was cosmeticHmm but would help once it turned to leg ulcers!

Eventually I couldn't put up with it anymore and it was a quick procedure plus they scanned my legs and dealt with others that were in danger or becoming varicose too.
