Could someone help me please. Question about P60 and filling out tax credits renewal form.

I'm trying to fill out the tax credits renewal form so I got the P60 that I received recently to see what I'd earned.

Except the p60 was tax year ending April 2018
I emailed my employer and asked shouldn't it be the one ending April 2019? (Especially as I earned more that year then the year previously) and she said no.

Is that correct?

I thought the same - its for April 2019.

However, I also thought you could just use your payslips and add it all up? Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 03/06/2019 10:47

I can but I'm a twat who hasn't kept her payslips.

Damn it.

The total should be on your March payslip if you have it.

Your latest P60 should be dated April 2019, and must be sent to you from your current employer before they can actually move onto the current tax year, have you been paid April 2019 and May 2019 ? Are you still with the same employer ?

The total will be the same one they used on the March 2019 payslip if you can find that one.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 03/06/2019 18:44

I can't find my march payslip. I will have to look again.

My manager said that April 2018 p60 was correct and I won't get April 2019 until next year Confused

I'm with the same employer. I need it to renew my tax credits with exact info instead of estimates.

My latest P60 is dated April 2019.
Your employer is wrong, you should have a current P60.

The inland revenue have a web chat and will tell you the figure you need. My DH's P60 went missing at work. I went on the chat and they gave me the figure.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 03/06/2019 20:25

It's ok they are sending me the current one.
It even said it was printed in 2018.

Weird!
