Where to break a car journey with a toddler between Perth and Stirling?

Having previously had excellent suggestions for earlier in our road trip, I wonder if Mumsnet can help again! I'm looking for somewhere we can break a long car journey and let the wobbly toddler loose, ideally on some grass which isn't also a dog walking area. Preferably with a cafe and a loo would be good, but DH and I can sort ourselves out separately.

Things like garden centres, country hotels or national trust may fit the bill, but open to ideas.

I would say dobbies at Stirling too as it’s not far off the motorway so you aren’t going too far off your route. But if you aren’t in any hurry both dunblane and bridge of Allan are lovely.

There’s Dobbies at Stirling, there’s another just off the main road between the broxden and Inveralmond roundabouts in Perth or Tiso at the Inveralmond roundabout. The latter has the bonus of an M&S foodhall at the other end of the retail park if you’re needing snacks!

@Lulalala that's what it's called! The Riverside is amazing. Really reasonable prices and delicious

Stop in Dunblane:
Beech tree cafe do amazing soup/paninis and toddler plates, Tilly Tearoom has fabulous cake, get a photo by the gold postbox then go for a play in the Millrow park and a wobbly toddler runaround on the grass behind it. If it's raining but you still want some time out of the car, the library has a great kids section and the staff are very friendly.
Guess where I'm from Grin

Blair Drummond Smiddy Farm Shop is fantastic and has a grassed area at the back. They’re very kid friendly in the main cafe.

Auchterarder has two good cafes - Mimi's (where Mimi has a face like a slapped arse but the cakes are to die for) - or Cafe Kisa where they glare at my much older children... so i don't think they're toddler friendly.

Tbh I think Dobbies at Stirling is your best bet - big cafe, easy parking, outdoor play area, blah blah. Or Sainsbury's cafe in Stirling if you're wanting a quick scoot around the shop and petrol too.

Tesco + asda cafes in Perth are both horrid.

Thank you all so much, plenty of options (and where to avoid!) so we'll be well set whenever he needs a stop.

Just popped back to say thanks again and in the end, Dunblane won and was perfect. What a lovely place to stop! We had a fab walk by the river and a great breakfast in the Beech Tree. I knew nothing of it before and would happily suggest it to anyone else in future.

Good to know. We travel up north quite regularly but have never stopped in dunblane. Thanks.
