Do you watch Britain’s got talent with your children? Do they enjoy it?

Yes, I watch with 8 year old DD. But I couldn't watch the escape artist guy. Too scary for me. DD loved it though and told me when that bit had finished and I could come back in room. We love watching these shows together.

My dd8 loves to watch it. We watched all the live shows together except tonight's.

I have recorded it for her because it finishes too late when they are back at school tomorrow which is a shame.

We always watch it on a Sunday afternoon so we can ff the ads!!

I've been watching it with my 4 & 6 year old and they love it, I wish they'd had the final on a Saturday night though so they could stay up.

I've recorded it and will have to try and avoid news and TV tomorrow until after school pick up.

spongedog · 02/06/2019 22:18

I'm afraid so. They were so excited to go last year, so pleased I at least have that memory!!

megletthesecond · 02/06/2019 22:30

10yr old DD loves it.

The final was too late for her on a school night though, she was only allowed to watch the first half hour.

Yes, but wish the judges would stop swearing

stiffstink · 02/06/2019 23:33

Today I was having a chat to my 7 year old about the thrilling topic of things that adults do, like driving and paying bills. He asked me today if, when he is 18, he can say fuck like Amanda Holden did on BGT.

Disclaimer: when she said it I immediately told him it was a "grown up word" and not to be repeated.

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 02/06/2019 23:39

Yes and we all enjoy it together (they're 12, 10 and 8). They're all actually off school tomorrow so stayed up to watch the results.

peanutbutterismydownfall · 02/06/2019 23:47

My two are 9 & 7 and BGT and Strictly are two highlights of their year. They can remember so much about each act and discuss it in huge detail.

BrienneofTarthILoveYou · 02/06/2019 23:51

Mine too @peanutbutterismydownfall - I'd no recollection of X at all from last year but they all remembered it very well.
