Can any of your 9 yo dc inspire me? She loves clothes (primark, h&m, and Claire's accessories), lego, pokemon, dance, singing, Taylor swift (got her concert tickets last year) and Harry potter. Also becoming more interested in football but not a passion. She got a new bike recently (last two were hand me downs so it felt mean to keep it as a birthday present - regretting my largesse Grin) and her cousin's almost new scooter. Got a go kart from santa. She doesn't like actual shopping so a day out spending money in Claire's and primark won't cut it and saves me the misery of doing it. Has books and craft stuff coming out her ears. Don't think I can inflict a kakroke machine on the rest of us and we have an alexa she can take up to her room to dj when friends are over. She has an old laptop that she uses for coding and typing games. Obviously wants a phone and been told a firm no. Family tablet she has limited access to. Dh and I have agreed no personal gaming device (eg switch) as we have xbox/play station in living room.

At this rate I'm going to have to fake amnesia and pretend I don't know who she is or why she should have a present when she wakes up on Saturday... Please help!

bundleeveryfight there's not a hope I'm keeping anything else in this house alive Wink

Sizeofalentil she's a very undemanding kid so I'd happily (and can afford) up to €250 but more interested in getting the right thing even if it's cheaper - prices still mean very little to her.

I've found a cool little camera and photo printer i hope will be delivered in time. I have photo editing software on my laptop so she can play around with her images too, which she'll love.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Could you get her a custom Lego minifig of her and her best friend to go with the set? Of Lego minifigure versions of your whole family ?

My DD just turned 9 and she requested a really nice planting shelf, which my parents bought her. So friends bought her pots, seeds, compost and her own gloves and trowel. She is making a fairy garden and trying to grow peas/beans.

We are taking her to get her ears pierced as our gift.

Can I ask what camera you've gone for? My 9yo also desperate for a camera for her birthday and I can’t decide which one!

JK Rowling is releasing some new HP books next month.

Also if you dont have them already the illustrated books are really, really beautiful (about £25 each) as is the pop up book they are real keepsakes.

Confused, have gone for the Nikon Coolpix A100. It's gor hood reviews and my brother who is very into photography recommended it as a good point and shoot. I think it can add some special effects too.

Better remember to get a memory card and case!

Wow, that pop up book is amazing! I'll put it on her Christmas list.

And I never knew about personalised lego mini figures, an excellent sounding stocking filler.
