My (oil-fired) boiler is producing very hot water

About a month ago I turned my heating off. Since then I have noticed that my hot taps are producing very hot water ever although I have turned the dial to a minimum. The pressure indicator on my boiler is at 0.4 bars.........I think normally it should be roughly one bar. Does this mean the pump has failed? If I don’t get it fixed soon what are the consequences?

Do you have an immersion tank for the water. you can turn the setting down on there usually too.

There is no tank, no immersion heater.

I always notice that the hot water seems to get hotter when the heating is off.
