My second hand book is inscribed!...but what does it say?

I bought a second hand river cottage cook book and it has an inscription on the first page! I love it when that happens! I think it's in Welsh. Can anyone help translate?

The signature looks like Philip or Phyllis.

It says "I'w ymarfer yn gydwybodol" which means "To be practiced conscientiously" and then "Happy Christmas, Rhodri"

Thank you everyone. Judging by the unused condition of the book I don't think there was much conscientious practicing of the recipes. Rhodri sounds like a nice guy Smile
