Due to some pretty crappy timing, I'll be returning from an overseas business trip the same day as flying out on holiday.
So will be landing at LHR terminal 3 late morning and flying out late afternoon.
So the question is where to leave my work items. Ideally I would like to leave them at LHR itself so I can pick up on my return from holidays when coming back to LHR.
Is there any left luggage facility in LHR (laughing hollowly in these days of heightened security and terrorism)?
Other options I thought about were:
- asking my colleagues to bring back with them (but they are not based in the UK)
- taking my work stuff with me on holiday (which to be honest is what I'll probably end up doing)
- abandoning my work stuff - ie take crappy work clothes with me and ditching them, having papers shredded, and just taking my laptop and cables etc with me
- asking the hotel to post to me (but this would most likely be at my personal expense).
I did play around with the flights etc - but there is no realistic prospect of getting home from LHR and then going back again. Which would have been my preferred option as i) I could dump my work stuff at home / in the office, and ii) I could pick up my holiday stuff and not lug it with me on my business trip...
