Creating a middle name

Hi,

I'm really struggling to come up with a middle name for my daughter (due october) my first daughters middle name is Miley. I chose that because is combined my grandmas name Milly and grandad name Sidney.

I would really like to combine my mums name and MIL name this time but really struggling. Their names are Audrey and Gail.

I like quite unusual names and were swaying towards Faith as a first name so it would need to go with that.

Any suggestions would be fab. TIA

Gaudy!

An anagram of Gail Audrey is “Argue Daily” if that helps.... and crossyour fingers there’s no nominative determinism!

Can't you just use both names so the child has two middle names?
Faith Audrey Gail ?
(Then her nickname can be Fag) Wink

I don't have a middle name, my kid doesn't. I'm not sure of the point of them

They really help those working in admin out when 2 people with the same first & last name work at the same location or have the same or similar dates of birth.

Avril?

Using some of the letters as anagrams I have found:

Ridley, but more associated with boys,

Ariel, as in The Little Mermaid etc.

Or adding an extra letter gets things like Gudrun, I went to school with a girl called Gudrun, she was lovely, but I am not too sure if it goes well with Faith and whatever the surname will be.

Or take the A from Audrey, the whole of Gail and add bi in the middle. You get Abigail. (Was going to be dc1s middle name if they were a girl, but he turned out to be a boy!) Or use the y from Audrey as well and spell it Abygail or Abbygail, unusual though.

I am sure you will watch out for what those initials spell.

Faith Abigail Nightingale - ok
F. A. Benetton - ok
F. A. Glenton - maybe not
F. A. Trueman - not too bad, but I probably wouldn't.

Faith Ursula Nightingale - ok
Faith Ursula Catherine Kingston - not a good idea.

Faith Audrey Imelda Tracy Harrison.

You'll be amazed at how many short words begin with an F!

Oh, you can make Audi from some of the letters of both names too.

Have two middle names so you can use both Gail and Audrey.

floraloctopus · 31/05/2019 04:15

audraille

randomsabreuse · 31/05/2019 05:00

I like Faith Aurelia but would then add a 2nd middle name to avoid spelling undesirable words... Especially as girls are still more likely to change names.

Nearly had Fang, had worked out need to avoid Fag...
