Had my baby seven months ago and EBF’d, still mostly EBF now however first period started at the end of April. It was a normal period for me, normal length and flow etc. Period this month was four days late (put it down to breastfeeding hormones?) and it still hasn’t ended a week later.
A normal cycle for me lasts four days max so I really don’t know what’s going on. It’s still bright red and a pad is necessary rather than liner. Would say mid flow rather than heavy. It seemed to be disappearing on day 5 but started up again. Not using hormonal BC so can’t be that. Really worried something is wrong but unsure, just never had a period last so long before.
Should I bother a GP with it or not? I know some people’s cycles last a week but it’s not even really getting lighter and this isn’t usual for me. Is it because of breastfeeding?
