Insomnia is breaking my brain Shock

I can remember doing a puzzle as a child in the vein of crossword or word search (or even sudoku) but can't for the life of me recall the name of it or how to actually do it too well. Does it even still exist Confused

The basic premise, terribly explained:

There was a sort of tetrus shaped grid with squares in.

You were given some info -

Edna likes pampas grass and bourbon biscuits

Roger sings Gilbert and Sullivan while eating cheese cobs

Macolm walks to Monmouth on a Thursday

From the above information and a few intelligent X placements in a grid you'd then be able to work out whether or not Edna was married to a chorister or a barrister.

Can anyone auld like me recall this pastime?

Tia

Can’t remember what they’re called but you can still find them in random puzzle books now, I used to love them as a kid!

Empathy56 · 30/05/2019 03:59

Logic puzzles. There are apps now that have them.

floraloctopus · 30/05/2019 04:11

Logic problems, I have a couple of good free apps for them.

marcopront · 30/05/2019 04:14

I was going to say logic puzzles but I see others have got there before me.
So instead I'll ask what apps do you use for them?

MardAsSnails · 30/05/2019 04:26

Oooooh there’s logic puzzle apps?? Awesome!

AgentProvocateur · 30/05/2019 04:37

You can still buy the books in WH Smith (it’s good for some things!) as I get DH one for his stocking each year.

floraloctopus · 30/05/2019 04:43

I have two apps imaginatively called logic problems and logic puzzles.

AnotherRubberDuck · 30/05/2019 05:12

I've played something similar on an app called Einstein's riddle

Rememberallball · 30/05/2019 06:01

Definitely logic problems. My mum used to buy the puzzle books full of these as well as word search, word fit and criss cross ones.

UrsulaPandress · 30/05/2019 06:03

There's one in The Sunday Telegraph every week.

Readers, I fell asleep Grin

I realise now I'd got Lateral in my head - so Logical wasn't a step too far.

So pleased that others can remember and have set me on my path of Edna Discovery Wink

I LOVED Logic Problems! I used to buy a whole book of them for summer holidays. I think the company was called Q - they also did books of Word Searches, Kriss-Kross puzzles and Double Acrostics. Or you could buy a huge puzzle compendium which had them all!

Neilsfavouritechilli · 30/05/2019 11:25

These were my favourite. Used to do them in my grandmas puzzler magazine.
