Anyone bought a Howdens kitchen?

We’ve got Howdens coming out next week to measure up and design a new kitchen for us. We’ve got a fitter who can buy it on our behalf as a trade customer.

I’ve looked at the various kitchens online, but want to see them in person. We’ve got a Howdens depot near us, and I wondered if it’s like a showroom where we could look at display kitchens? If so, can we go along, or does the fitter have to accompany us?

Also, I’ve read a lot about prices varying, and that you need to bargain hard. However, we’re not looking for top end, and wondered if anyone could recommend any of the cheaper ranges as a starting point?

Moved into a new build with one installed 8 years ago.

Four bits have disintegrated (two kickboards, half the oven unit and the insides of three cupboards - no leaks, no deliberate damage or careless use - the particles just crumbled), the overpriced oven packed up within 6 weeks - and it was impossible to get the repair sorted out through the warranty, as I didn't buy it, the builder did, so they refused to talk to me.

Whatever you do, don't touch the appliances they try to sell you.

Love our Howdens kitchen. We used our own appliances apart from the induction hob, which we haven't had any problems with.

My fitter came on a recommendation from friends. If possible, that's often your best bet.
