Help... 70th present for my disfunctional dad?

I need help thinking of of something, anything, for my dad's 70th.... He's the most difficult person to buy for as you will see....

  • no hobbies at all
  • nothing drink related as is tee total due to alcoholism
  • no food gifts as over weight
  • no days out / event tickets as he hates leaving the village
  • doesn't read anymore
  • not interested in gardening
  • not bothered about having any nice house stuff

I usually buy clothes and hats for him which he likes but doesn't seem appropriate for his 70th. He's also got form for just shoving gifts under the bed. When he was very ill we cleaned his room and found at least ten years worth of gifts untouched still in gift bags amongst the wine bottles Hmm

Weirdly the best thing I got him in recent years was a pedometer / sleep tracker that he got really into for a while but he's forgotten about it now.

I've asked him and he can't suggest anything. He basically walks the dog, plays on the Internet (I don't want to know what he looks at) and spends an hour in the local pub each evening nursing a non alcoholic beer. He's happy as Larry but I buggered of I can think of a single thing he needs or would enjoy! Please help!

Budget is not huge, £50 to £100.

Fitbit type thing if he liked the pedometer gift. Might get back into it.

Vouchers.

A desk chair if he sits at a desktop p.c.

Art voucher.

Digital radio.

If he likes and wears the clothes you buy, I’d stick to those. Amazon Echo is also a good choice. Or a Netflix subscription? Good luck.

Thank you everyone, I've gone for the amazon echo. He likes music and radio and I'm sure he'll use some of the other functions like the shopping list and the weather. He's good with his phone so should be able to navigate the app if I set it all up for him Grin

He has lots of things already suggested and not much interest in any of them, I'll take him to his local for some lunch too. He's a very much in his own little world most of the time, he's not going to change now I guess!
