How tight are your rings?

I had my engagement ring resized today; as it was absolutely huge. I'd had my fingers measured before in a high-street chain who didn't seem to pay much attention but confidently told me I was an O.

The lady today paid a lot more attention to the ring and my hand declared that I have 'in line knuckles', which apparently means I'm more at risk of losing a ring because my fingers don't get any thicker where my knuckles are, and then sized me again. She decided on L and a half.

It does fit, but it takes a few twists to get it off, and I'm worried that it feels quite tight. It's not at all uncomfortable but it's making my finger look quite chubby

Should it be tight? I've never worn a ring before, and it was so massive before that I had a lot of plastic ring sizers wrapped round it, so it could just be that I need to get used to it!

I'm a size k. Quite small and ring slides around finger nicely and doesn't look tight. But not loose enough would slide off by itself

I suspect they wouldn't be too pleased to make it bigger again, they had a moan about it being difficult to resize anyway due to the setting.
you need to go to a different goldsmith if they said that. You have an easy ring to resize. I could do it as an amateur so a professional shouldn't find this difficult.

My mind went 'ouch' when I saw that photo. They're way too tight.

Mine are loose and they sometimes come off in my gloves when my hand is cold. I also have knuckles which aren't thicker than my fingers.

That looks far too tight. Mine are loose and my engagement ring spins but they won't come off. I have very slim long fingers and my rings are size J. I don't have to twist to get either off.

I find me fingers swell when it’s hot/humid outside, and I’ve also gone up and down in weight over the years which means my rings were wither too loose or too tight. I now have my rings slightly large (easy on/off in summer) and I use a plastic doodah to take the size down a bit over winter when they feel too loose. I got mine off eBay, it’s basically a spiral of clear plastic which I wind over the back of the ring. Makes the ring a mm or so smaller without having to get it resized properly.

fairly loose - I live in fear of the gap between a lift and the abyss.
but a size smaller would be uncomfortable as I have changeling shape shifter fingers.

These are my rings, my wedding ring fits but my engagement ring is too tight as there were many years (and children and lbs) between engagement and wedding.

I keep meaning to get it resized to match the wedding ring but am also trying to lose weight so I’ll see if that helps!
