Sudden numbness/tingling in leg

Anyone got any idea what this could be?

This morning, my big toe was twitching, I could see and feel it moving. That gradually stopped and now there is a numbness/pins and needles feeling in the toe, as well as in the shin/calf of the same leg. (interestingly not the rest of my foot or ankle)
Never had anything like this before, it feels really weird! Not painful but tingly and numb.
Can't think of anything I've done to cause it. Anyone know what this could be?? Thanks

Could be a trapped nerve,.maybe even your sciatic nerve. Been doing anything strenuous lately that could have caused it?

Any swelling or pain in your calf?

Gingerkittykat · 20/05/2019 17:47

Sciatica possibly. I had the numbness and tingling in one calf and foot with only a slight niggle sometimes in my back. Doing back stretches helped but it went away itself after a few weeks.

I would still get some medical advice if it continues to be on the safe side.

No pain or swelling. Nothing particularly strenuous at all no, nothing out of the ordinary. Might be a stupid question but would wearing unusually (for me) flat shoes cause it? Had to go out in a cheap pair of pumps for a few hours today, usually I wear doc Martens or converse
