What would be your perfect present?

I have a significant birthday coming up, and dm has asked me what I would like present wise. I would love something that I will treasure forever, or an experience.

I don’t wear much jewellery, I have a decent watch.

Any ideas?

Hot air balloon ride.

A cookery Course? I love cooking and would love to expand my repertoire.

A piece of art

stucknoue · 11/05/2019 18:31

An experience together. We never know how long we have on this earth so treasured memories are so important.

Purpletigers · 11/05/2019 21:17

What budget do you have for the art and what kind of theme do you like ? There are a lot of very reasonably priced artists around if you know where to look . Don’t buy from a high street gallery, I buy most of mine from an art dealer with his own business at home .

Purpletigers · 11/05/2019 21:19

Also if you happened (randomly ) to be in NI I know a furniture restorer/ dealer who supplies lots of antique shops .

A nice radley bag, spa day, mini break.

PodgeBod · 11/05/2019 21:39

MagpieTree Grin why not? Fear of heights or just too outdated? I've always fancied it and I'm sure I used to see hot air balloons all the time when I was a child but never anymore. I have dropped hints but no luck so far...

mumwithovertime · 11/05/2019 22:08

We have 2 paintings of our children taken from holiday photos , painted by a Cornish artist , first one is 10 years old then a more recent one , both acrilyc on canvas, love them both and cost £100 each so not ridiculously pricey either

MagpieTree · 12/05/2019 08:03

Fear of heights @PodgeBod

Bird box with a Wi-fi camera so I can spy on the tiny birdies :)

Veronicat · 12/05/2019 08:13

A weather station.

keepingbees · 12/05/2019 08:45

A piece of art I love, some art equipment to use myself, a unique piece of jewellery - preferably vintage, an expensive handbag I wouldn't normally buy, or a little dog Grin

MagpieTree · 12/05/2019 09:30

@keepingbees I would love a kitten or two, but just don't have the time to commit at the moment. Maybe when I retire Smile

@MagpieTree this is how I feel with a dog, we've been dithering and looking into it for ages but haven't the confidence to make the leap. If however someone presented me with one as a gift...well I would make it work Grin
I'd love a cat/kittens but we are allergic sadly

BadHairDyeDay · 12/05/2019 12:29

A beautiful tree, like a lilac tree (if you've somewhere to put it)
