I’m down to 12 now and just wondered if it made a massive difference to how you looked?

I was 12 stone after I had my DS I was a 12-14 dress size. I went to 9 stone with healthy eating (no diet) just cut out white food and sugar except weekends and I exercised. 9 stone put me at size 8-10 and made a massive difference to my shape as in waist, arms, legs no double chin but a lot of that was exercise. It was hard to maintain though and I think 10 stone is easier to sit at. I’m 5’3 just for reference.

At 12 stone I'm a plumpcious dress size 14 with generous curves, and at 9stone I'm bordering on underweight - visible ribs, no curves at all- and my 10s are hanging off me.

These are exactly the two weights i yo yo between. At ten stone I look my idea of perfect size.

It's like the difference between Sophie Dahl before and after her weight loss.

That was my weight post ds2 - terrible pregnancy and was not allowed to move much by medical advice - and I’ve dropped down to 10st. I’m 5’ 6”. Made a massive difference tbh a couple of dress sizes and no rolls or rub. I’m not going back to that.

RubberTreePlant · 04/05/2019 13:11

I'm 5'8, btw.

LittleDribbling · 04/05/2019 13:12

I went from 13st (size 16) to 9st (size 8) so yes it absolutely made a difference, one dress size per stone. I found it hard to maintain at 9st, it involved an awful lot of going hungry and the gym 4x per week. Now I’m 10st (size 10) and find it much easier. I’m 5’5. Well done on your weight loss so far, it’s a difficult thing to do.

It’s strange because I’m 12 stone and I can fit into some size 10s in trousers and I’m definitely a 10 on top.

So maybe 9 would be too low for my body type

How tall are you?

Nnnnnineteen · 04/05/2019 13:28

I'm 5'7 and went from 13 (size 14/16,) to 10 stone which made me a 6/8. I looked crap, 11 stone suits me better, size 10.

icouldlieandsayilikeit · 04/05/2019 13:35

Sorry I’m 5 foot 6

I do work out with heavy weights. I’m not muscly and my body fat is needs to be cut down.

But yeah the other day I fit into size 10 trousers from River Island

Maybe just aim for 11 first and see what that looks like?

Tatapie · 04/05/2019 13:51

What's your frame size? I'm medium height / frame. at 11st was a size 14 quite plump then at 9.5 was size 10 very slim but hard to stay at. I can maintain 10 stone size 12 and look well. I guess the eight training will mean you weigh heavier though. What's the motivation to lose more?

eurochick · 04/05/2019 13:55

I'm 5'6 and 10 is the top of my "happy weight" so maybe try for that. When toned from exercise I look pretty decent at that weight. At 9 I look a bit scrawny. 9 and a half is my perfect weight but is increasingly difficult to reach in my 40s!

Angelinthenightx · 04/05/2019 14:22

I did went from over 11 stone to under 9 size 14 down to a 10.yes i did notice a big difference clothes fitted me much better.im a size 12 now but pregnant ,i think i will always be a size 12 now i think its a good size to be,just want to tone my arms & legs now.
