Pass the parcel for 20 5 year olds

Dd's party on Saturday.
I thought probably every child should win a sweetie at pass the parcel but there are 20 guests! Will one parcel be enough or should we go for two to go round in opposite directions?
There will be leisure centre staff running the games but we have to provide the prizes!
TIA for any advice!

I would do 2 parcels & yes nowadays they all get something in each layer! Bigger prize in the middle!

Yes, sweet or whatever in every layer and two parcels.

Phew ok brilliant, thanks. So you have two parcels going round at the same time in one big circle or two smaller circles?

I would have 2 circles, less time to wait and get fidgety.

I would do two circles, two parcels

I like to wrap alternate layers in different paper so it’s easy to see when you’ve removed a layer

For example

One layer green paper
One layer pink paper
One layer green paper
One layer pink paper

Sweets in each layer too

Probably too late but I would do any fame other than pass the parcel, it's grim imo especially with those numbers.

With two circles you need I would say 5 maybe 6 adults, do you have them? one for music, one to stand by the music person advising when to stop it so that everyone gets a go, one per parcel to monitor disputes over who was holding it, one other per circle to monitor the rest of the kids while they are waiting.

Happy to suggest other games...

To make it quicker for big parties we do that you are out if the music stops when you have the parcel. The child slides back and someone takes a bowl of sweets or lollies that they pick one from while the rest of the game goes on. Eventually the circle in the middle gets smaller until the last two children are back to back to win. You just have to have an adult watching the parcel closely so it doesn't get thrown to the next person after the music stops.
