Do you have a separate towel?

My husband is using my en suite this week because we have a guest. Every morning he uses ‘my’ towel which obviously means it’s wet when I want to use it which is irritating.

I just told him that I was annoyed that he just uses ‘my’ towel and he said ‘it’s a family towel. I don’t think people have separate his and hers towels’

Surely they do? I thought it was basic good hygiene practice to have a designated towel?

I know, I know, first world problem! But This has come up before and it pisses me off when he takes my towel!

I wouldn't use the same towel as my OH even if it was the last towel in the house, I would rather air dry Grin

I don't even step directly onto bath mats for fear of soggyness- I'm already aware of how over the top ridiculous that is!

my husband has a face towel i always thought he was strange

Definitely separate towels. Grew up having our own and have continued.

I am more surprised your husband doesn't use the ensuite usually.

We don't have separate towels but we do wash towels after every use. I grew up with family towels, I just don't see it as a big deal

You are missing the whole point of this thread. If you have a clean towel every time, you are using separate towels, not a towel that someone else just dried themselves on!

@mydogisthebest

Surely when you step out of the shower you want to wrap a bath towel around you not dry your face on it first?

I use my hair towel to dry my face and upper body while still standing in the shower (it's big enough to avoid drips and the steam linger keeps me warm) then wrap my big towel around me.
