Calling all touring caravaners

We're recently the proud owners of our very own touring caravan. It's a fairly old van but doesn't need that much work. Has anybody got any good advice, tips and tricks? Things that you wish you'd have known for storage, comfort etc. Maybe things that you wish you would have known before you went on your first jolly...

All advice welcome! Smile

Steriliser tablets (Milton) to clean out your water pipes and tank before first use. A 5L bottle of water for drinking as you may find you don't like the taste after it's been through the pipes.

A plug in electric frying pan for cooking outside. Works as a hob too. Much quicker and cleaner than a barbecue.

Non slip shelf liner from ikea - to stop everything rolling around when you're driving. Pack tea towels around objects in the cupboards to stop rattling. Torches, a fold up trolley on wheels. A mosquito burner or citronella candles. Sun screen, after sun cream, plasters paracetamol bandages, stretch bandages - I've sprained my ankle and was nowhere near a chemist, insect bite cream. Travel wash a clothes line and pegs

In wilkos ( and last week ALDI) they have collapsible buckets, sink bowls and drainers. Saves space
