So we went to the pub today for a drink in the sunshine.

Guess how much it cost for...

A vodka and lemonade
Pint of beer
Glass of orange juice
2 portions of chips (i.e. those tiny bucket things which hold about ten chips each)

Down here I think that would be about £25.

WrongKindOfFace · 21/04/2019 19:36

I’m guessing it was eyewateringly expensive. £30?

itssquidstella · 21/04/2019 19:38

AllTheWhoresOfMalta · 21/04/2019 19:38

SleepingStandingUp · 21/04/2019 19:38

£17 - £21

BrokenWing · 21/04/2019 19:38

£21.46

Skyejuly · 21/04/2019 19:38

About 23 here

formerbabe · 21/04/2019 19:40

It was £22!

I really thought it was a lot. In a very unglamorous part of suburban London by the way.

Next time, i think i'll stop at the chip shop, £1.80 for a huge bag of chips and buy some cartons of juice from the supermarket and sit in the park instead!

Depends where you are -could be £18 -£25 around here but in an expensive area could be £35 plus

Get yourselves some gin & tonic in a can too!
I think that’s expensive, I would think around £15 would be reasonable

MiniMum97 · 21/04/2019 22:53

£25

whitehalleve · 21/04/2019 22:56

Not bad for London prices. I guessed more Smile

SaltSpoon · 21/04/2019 22:58

I would have guessed £21, am not in London. Sounds about right.

MonkeyfaceThereturn · 21/04/2019 23:02

Sounds right to me.

I'm Cotswolds and that would be £25 ish. Unless you were in Spoons and then it would be £15.

Serin · 21/04/2019 23:38

Cornish coastal village last year.
Fish and chips for 5?
£52 Shock
No drinks!!
The £2 was for wooden forks and kechup/tartare sauce sachets.

Will very massively depending on your location.

For example - our local pub, which is lovely and just honest homemade pub food, the three of us can eat and drink for about £30.

Yet two weeks ago we have one drink each - 2 alcohol, 1 not - and it was almost £60 : Singapore slings at Raffles hotel in Singapore.

Equimum · 22/04/2019 09:04

Here, in SE I’d guess at £20-25. Possibly more in lkndon/ trendy seaside bar.
