Will we ever evolve to not need eye glasses

I'm short sighted ... So short sighted I I can only make out facial expressions+features if your at arms length from me ☹️ I wear glasses and contacts , and I have a fear The back of my mind that if there was an event like the film "a quiet place". And I broke my glasses I would be Fu* my eyesight is awful .

No. Evolution has basically stalled out for humans, as there's almost no detriment to our breeding ability for most things like that.

If we lose our civilisation (and more importantly medical science) it'll start up again as more people die before they manage to produce offspring. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

That's not how evolution works! Firstly short sightedness would have to be genetically inherited (No idea how much it is or isn't), then only people with good eyesight would reproduce. So either short sighted people would have to die before puberty or no one would shag someone who was short sighted!
