My DD has come home with this rash, any ideas what it looks like? It's on her cheek.

Slapped cheek disease? Fairly common in primary school age children. Give it a Google.

When my DS was in reception class school called for me to go and collect him, they said he had slapped cheek disease, and I had to take him home as it is contagious. His face was red but by the time we got home it had completely disappeared, turns out he was just running around in the cold at lunch time and it made his face red.

Some of the kids in primary did get slapped cheek, I don't remember any of them being unwell with it, most kids only get mild symptoms.
