Talk to me about Netflix

Stillmonday · 08/04/2019 12:35

I've just joined Netflix thinking there would be every movie & series under the sun on there as I specifically wanted to watch 2 things but neither is on there.

The mummy diaries with Sam Faiers (1st series is on but nothing else)

Marley & Me the movie.

Why aren't these on? I can't find any help pages on Netflix either.

They add and remove things all the time. I don't find it that easy to search for things unless you know the exact title.

You can submit a request online to have a movie added.

JustWatch is a useful app that you can search for series/films that you want to watch so you can find out what streaming service would be best before you join up, it let's you search across all the platforms

It definitely doesn't have every movie and tv series under the sun GrinIt has a frequently changing selection.

There are lots of sites online where you can check what is currently available on UK Netflix as other posers have suggested.

exculpatrix · 08/04/2019 12:48

Lots of shows and films aren't on Netflix because the owners haven't licensed them to Netflix. This might be because they're on other streamers like Hulu, Prime, HBOGo, etc. Or because Netflix doesn't think they're worth the money of licensing them.

Netflix does not have everything on there as there but as pp said, they add and remove stuff all the time and have some excellent own content.

KindergartenKop · 08/04/2019 16:03

Netflix had some fabulous stuff though. Ask for recommendations for stuff on mumsnet.

JustWatch shows that Marley & Me is on Amazon Prime Video (free if you have Amazon Prime) or available to rent via Amazon (as well as other rental providers).

The Mummy Diaries (Season 1) is only available until the 30th April, just a heads up. I can't seem to find seasons 2-4 to watch though, however season 5 is on ITVHub.
