I bought a Hypnos mattress (the ones used in Premier Inns) last year. It is FABULOUS! It's so high I feel like the princess in the Princess and the Pea 😂

Tempur, sheer bliss worth every penny

OrchidRosemary · 31/03/2019 22:05

I stayed at a Hilton recently and had the best night sleep ever! the mattress was amazing, firm but extremely comfy.
The make is Serya
I really want one but they only seem to be available in the usa.
I wasn't impressed with the premier inn mattress, far too soft for me.

I have had a simba for two years and I love it. Smells weird when you get it but the smell goes quickly and all my neck and back problems have gone, as have my husbands. Think I paid £500 so expensive but not too bad for something you use everyday for ten years. I love my bed.

DogHairEverywhere · 31/03/2019 23:13

Another Simba one here. We felt we couldn't go wrong with the 100 day full money back trial. Trouble with trying one in the shop is it's not the same as having a proper sleep on it.
The only thing with the Simba is my DH days is quite hot. Personally I don't find it too hot and it's incredibly comfortable, and with the 100 day trial... What have you got to lose?
Just don't dispose of your old mattress until you know for sure you love the new one.

I've just seen all these responses, thanks everyone! Otty sounds like a contender & I'm sure I'd love tempur and intrigued by the extremely firm John Lewis one too!

I have now had my otty since Saturday. It's firm but weirdly like sleeping on a cloud. The supports amazing and my sciatica has been the best in months. I haven't struggled to roll over or get up once like I was doing. I love the pillow but my husband's not sure of the pillow but loves the mattress.

NooNooHead1981 · 09/04/2019 22:57

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Relyon yet - mine’s a pillowtop one and is fab and still going strong after 10 years. Unfortunately I can’t afford to change it yet, so it’s a good job it is so comfy!

jackstini · 09/04/2019 23:10

Tempur here too - and the pillows
Yes it was expensive but you spend 1/3 of your life on it!

Fortheloveofscience · 09/04/2019 23:16

Another person here with a Simba mattress, we’ve had it for about 2 years now. 100 night return and long warranty. Always breathe a sigh of relief to get back to it after being anywhere we stay overnight.

When we tried them I also liked the tempur (and we have tempur pillows) but the price difference was crazy so there was no contest really.

redeyetonowheregood · 10/04/2019 00:36

Hmm, I don't like our Simba. I did at first but after about 6 months I found that my back was starting to hurt. We have to rotate it every couple of months. I wish we had bought a more expensive mattress but this was all we could afford.

cloudymelonade · 10/04/2019 00:56

We got a Casper and I am obsessed.
Ended up getting one for each guest room too because I can't stand to sleep on anything else when DH is snoring like a bear

Nat6999 · 10/04/2019 02:52

I've got a Shires sprung memory foam mattress. I've had it nearly 9 years & it's still as comfortable as it was the day I bought it.

hippermiddleton · 10/04/2019 09:55

Relyon are lovely - I bought one in the last House of Fraser sale when they were half price, and it's so comfy.
Most recently we got a Loaf mattress (about £500) and sprung divan (another £400) which DH swears is the most comfortable bed he's ever slept in.

WhatNowRandy · 10/04/2019 10:41

We have a Casper, which is another one that arrives in a box and has 100 days return time. I was afraid it would be too soft or hot for me, as I've usually disliked any memory foam I've tried (it's made of "high-density memory foam and an open-cell top layer"), but I've been positively surprised: it's soft but firm enough, definitely retains its shape, and I've not been hot at all. We've had it since Christmas, and I love it.

Fortheloveofscience · 10/04/2019 13:04

redeye if you have to rotate it because it’s developed sags in the foam you should be able to order a replacement under the warranty?
