Aldi Chunky bars are gorgeous.. Similar to the old United bars.

PrivateIsles · 26/03/2019 16:49

Ooh Books - that's v exciting news!! Am going to check them out. I used to love Uniteds!

00100001 · 26/03/2019 17:04

"But I do like a Toffee Crisp if we’re counting those."

... I don't think they count as a biscuit bar

fluffylittleclouds I came on to say Aldi wacko bars, the caramel ones. Amazing!

MsSquiz · 26/03/2019 18:35

@InMyBloodstainedSundaysBest you can get TimTams from the food dept in Harvey Nichols. DH is obsessed so whenever we go to a city with a Harvey Nicks, we get a packet.

I'd have to go with a Fox's Classic, these were part of a classic family tea party set up in our house!

Also, a mint viscount, but I've never managed to eat just one!

Grumpbum123 · 26/03/2019 18:38

Mint clubs/ mint penguins/ mint viscount

labazsisgoingmad · 26/03/2019 18:42

jammy wagon wheels yummy

onlyhereforthefood · 26/03/2019 18:44

This thread is also making me realise how much I miss Echo bars :(

PrivateIsles · 26/03/2019 18:56

If we are allowed Antipodean items, can I please nominate the Arnotts Mint Slice? It's definitely underrated in comparison to the Tim Tam, and just as nice if not nicer imho. It's like a Viscount in bar form.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 26/03/2019 19:00

Aldi caramel wafers are way cheaper and as good as Tunnocks.

You lie! You lie like a rug! They are not even comparable.

However, I'm not sure if caramel wafers count as biscuit bars anyway?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/03/2019 19:01

Mint viscount and also any of the round, foil wrapped ones in biscuit selection boxes.

Cadbury do these ones called roundies and they are like circular wafers with a thick layer of chocolate all over.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 26/03/2019 19:02

Also you lie like a rug Gringenius! Definitely stealing that badboy.

bobo26 · 26/03/2019 19:10

Mint and orange clubs 😋 I do also love a caramel rocky bar (are these still going?!) and penguins!!

Happynow001 · 26/03/2019 19:14

Kind peanut butter dark chocolate bars (other flavours are available) from Sainsburys, Tesco, Waitrose, Amazon but sadly I'm addicted which is not good for my weekly calorie count... great for when I'm out and about and Hangry though!

Cheesymonster · 26/03/2019 19:18

Trio!! Tri-i-i-o!!

GottenGottenGotten · 26/03/2019 19:24

I wish I had an aldi near me. I loved United bars!

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 26/03/2019 19:25

Gold bars, orange clubs, rockys, and fox's classics!! Havent eaten any of these for years but reading this thread has reminded me of them!

CiderBrains · 26/03/2019 19:27

Gold bars coating used to be so thick and lovely. Now you can see the biscuit through the coating Sad They are still nice though (but not like they used to be.)

AnnaNutherThing · 26/03/2019 19:30

I saw this title and Tony Hadley started singing in my head.

AnnaNutherThing · 26/03/2019 19:31

Timtams ARE good if you are caught out down under.

BikeRunSki · 26/03/2019 19:33

Rocky bars here

MigThePig · 26/03/2019 19:36

The old rocky bars with the thick layer of chocolate, they aren't so good these days. But I could still eat a multipack Blush

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 26/03/2019 19:36

Most of these don’t actually have any chocolate on or in them, though, so they? Just some brown coloured slightly flavoured sugar.

Pret’s choc bar is ducking awesome. And Waitrose do lovely millionaire’s shortbread.

instituute · 26/03/2019 19:37

Caramel Rocky, raisin club and gold bars! Yy!
