Why do men flirt?

Fing · 08/03/2019 20:19

If unavailable/in relationships... and show interest in younger women.

To prove a point?
Because they want to sleep with them? In which case would they want to do the same with any woman?
Etc

I tend to flirt with men I feel safer around the ones I don’t fancy

I struggle to flirt with men I do unless they are flirtatious

It makes people feel good

I'm the same I can't flirt with people I actually fancy - I'm a hideous flirt with everyone else though

If you're asking what to do, with my DH, I'd mention it and then tease him. But mine is super-reasonable and would just look a bit sheepish.

If it's jealousy you have an issue with, well, decide if you want to deal with yourself and how you feel. Or stop them seeing each other or some other controlling thing. Bottom line is if he wants to stray, he will and holding on tightly will not end well...

He might find her attractive because she's pretty, or might be a bit intimidated/ embarrassed around her. That doesn't mean he fancies you any less. If he's not acting on it don't worry. And don't act jealous around him, there's nothing more annoying. Just ignore.

Why intimidated/embarrassed?

Because no-one wants to be reduced to feeling13 and a stuttering wreak again.

Fing · 09/03/2019 23:49

Very true! Is this a common thing?

I would think so, it's more a primal thing, isn't it?

He might be oblivious to it. He might be aware but rational brain will take over but I'd tease, personally. (-:
