What is biting me?

For the past two weeks myself, my dh and my eldest dd have been covered in bites, all over our legs and dd’s chest and tummy. They are raised white lumps with an obvious red tiny mark in the middle and are itching us so much!
I have googled and googled and can’t find an exact match! Just for some background, I live in a city no where near the countryside and both children were outside a lot last week when the weather was nice!
The itching is driving us all crazy!

Any new bites today? It's certainly a good sign that you can't see any bedbugs. I saw mine, but then I'm the one who said I always spot fleas so maybe I just have an eye for these things!

My oh went to the doctors and he said it is highly unlikely that it is bed bugs and that it didn’t look like fleas either! He said it just looked like insect bites?? We are treating the house with flea spray etc though just incase!
There is no sign of bed bugs I have searched and searched and checked all around the bedroom and my eldest daughter has bites too and she doesn’t ever really go in our bedroom, also I genuinely don’t understand how we would have got them or where they would have come from!

ginga I have very similar bites on my lower leg. Incredibly itchy. Have no idea where they came from, looked all over for bed bugs etc but they started in the middle of the day when I was in the car.

And I had some other smaller spots on my wrist a few days earlier, which looked a lot different.

Don't know what it is, but am also going to spray the house with flea spray, just in case. We don't have pets.

Hoping it's something external to the house; if it's not fleas or bed bugs ... it could be the start of a new wave of hybrid mutant biting insects that are going to take over the world Shock

OP just call Rentokil or another pest control service and ask their advice, they are the experts and that's what they are there for.
