@BartonHollow thanks!

PreseaCombatir · 05/03/2019 21:07

I have NOT seen the trailer.
It is my ALL TIME favourite.
I am off to watch, and I will find the thread!!

BartonHollow · 05/03/2019 21:10

@PreseaCombatir

I linked to it on the AIBU thread

I was a late starter, between series 6 & 7. The reports of sex and violence put me off, but I loved it. We ended up binge watching 2/3 episodes a night over a few weeks then felt a bit bereft when it ended.

Second round of watching before series 7 was even better as I got to grips with the characters and their connections much better. There was a lot that passed me by in the first couple of series first time.

Currently plodding through the books. Great reading too.

Have a family tree to hand

BartonHollow · 05/03/2019 22:18

In the later series they do really dial back on the pointless nudity because it was so mercilessly mocked

Baconislife · 07/03/2019 13:44

Half way through season 4 now and I have so many questions but am to afraid to ask incase of spoilers 😀

You can try me @Baconislife and I can reply with can't because spoilers or help if I can

ladymarian · 11/03/2019 20:42

I started watching in around October and am now on the last episode of season 5. It was a bit of a slow burn with me but now omg I LOVE it!! Totally hooked now! I think I've timed it right to watch Seasons 6 and 7 just in time for the final series in April. I have no clue how it will end but I don't think it will be happy! I love Ser Jorah and I love how Sansa's character has developed although Season 5 has been hard to watch 😱

Baconislife · 11/03/2019 23:31

I've done nothing but watch it and will be starting season 7 tomorrow 🙂

I really envy you having the whole lot to watch, and by the time you finish it the final series will be about to start. We started watching when they were on series 4, we were just greedy watching them non stop!

I’d call them a cross between The Tudor’s and Lord of the Rings.

Cannot wait for the final series! It actually feels near now. Although I’m flying home from the USA on the day it airs.

ginghambox · 12/03/2019 00:17

watch series 5-6 and 7. ARYA.

BadLad · 12/03/2019 04:00

Am I the only person who hates this?

MissionItsPossible · 12/03/2019 12:51

My favourite character is Joffrey! I realise i'm in the minority with that one.

Honeyroar · 12/03/2019 13:37

Yes you probably are Mission!

BearSoFair · 12/03/2019 14:03

I need to get myself into gear, I'm only on episode 15 of my great GoT re-watch! 'Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame' on me Wink

Baconislife · 12/03/2019 17:53

I thought The Red Wedding and Battle of the Bastards were amazing TV

DH has got to the bit where Cersi does her Walk of Shame .

It's always winter there but never Christmas (to quote Mr Tumnus )

BartonHollow · 12/03/2019 21:30

That's because they don't have Jesus 70 Grin

Baconislife · 14/03/2019 14:55

Finished it. It's amazing!

BartonHollow · 14/03/2019 22:21

Yay another convert

The best bit for me of the whole series in terms of a single dramatic piece is the sequence with Cersei and the Sept

BartonHollow · 14/03/2019 22:21

The second one Wink
