To ask how much you spend a week on coffee?

How much do you spend a week on coffee and how many cups do you have a day?

Me- so I work a lot on district in different areas so I so spend quite a bit of money on take out coffee, generally I choose cheaper outlets such as Morrison's & McDonald's (approx £2 per cup) and usually once a every weekend myself and my partner treat ourselves to costa, Starbucks etc! (Approx £3 a cup) sometimes I do some paperwork in cafes etc during my working day which is worth the money as it allows me to relax but be productive at the same time!

Days I work in the office I use my own coffee jar so money is saved there!

I calculate I spend approximately £9/10 a week? (3 x £2 and 1 x £3) Excluding the price of my coffee jar! Eeek I have never actually realised how much I spend!

I usually don't drink more than 2 cups a day and try and keep it at 1 when i can!

I get free coffee at caffe Nero's once a week and occasionally when I'm desparate, get a 99p filter coffee from Pret.

So I'd say £0 most weeks and £1-2 when I go pret.

My workplace has unlimited free coffee and I make coffee every morning with freshly ground beans.

Imagine what you could do with that £10/week.

Can’t stand coffee. I know I’m the minority but I’ve never had more than 5 sips of coffee in my life. I’m 31 now

Mine used to be about £10 a week as I bought a Costa everyday on the way to work. I've given that up this year and now buy one every 2-4 weeks, so around £2 a week.

I also work in coffee shops when I'm travelling for work, as I need a base to email and do noteswhen out and about on visits. I could use a library but I prefer coffee shops.

£0 on coffees out. Think it's a rip-off. Take own Thermos mug from home.
(FWIW my nephew and g/f saved for their house they stopped takeaway coffees and took packed lunch, saved them lots of £££)

I used to have a takeaway coffee every day and when I realised how much I was spending on it I invested in an espresso machine... About €200 and with every penny for lovely fresh coffee. It's not bean to cup so I buy the ground Lavazza stuff but it's still lovely and saving me a fortune!

70p a day which is two nespresso pods. Then maybe £2-6 more on coffees out, but that is more social.

Less than a 100g jar a week. Aldi Fairtrade, £1.50.

The ubiquity of the £3 takeaway cup of coffee is a bizarre 21st century custom. People did actually manage to get through their days without Costabucks in the 80s & 90s.

1. No one in our house drinks it.

We always have the tiniest jar of instant in the cupboard for guests but that invariably goes rock solid and out of date before it gets finished.

Loads! Two or three during the week from the local shop and ones from our nice local cafe at the weekend ! Supporting a small business as well

Maybe £3-4. I have one in a cafe about once a fortnight, and a pack of beans lasts me a good couple of weeks at home, making a cup a day (I drink more tea than coffee). Free coffee and tea at work.

I buy chai latte or tea about once a week. Drink gallons of tea at home. So maybe £3 plus £5?

Probably buy a soft drink 4-5 times a week though.

DH drinks M&S instant at about £5 a jar, prob uses 1 every 10 days.

I am currently going through a tea phase but when I circle back around to coffee again I’ll have in my cupboard :

Filter decaf
Filter full caf
Instant decaf
Instant full caf

And I don’t think I spend much on them per week but they are good brands.

Oh gosh this thread has made me realise how much I spend a week on coffee.... terrible!

I do have my own flask that I should start using more but I need to find a coffee jar brand that I really like! (My cup also sometimes leaks over my bag which needs fixing or replacing!) Currently using nescafe gold blend which I did used to love but ive got bored of it now... if any one has any recommendations, please let me know!

£0 I hate the stuff.

Probably £2.50 a week on a bit less than 1/2 bag of decent quality ground coffee. I use an aero press at work.

I rarely buy takeaway coffee - I would take a flask if I was in the car.

When I do have coffee out it Is because I am seeing someone socially.

I don’t drink instant OP, gives me a headache. Have you tried a cheap cafetière and some ground coffee?

I bought a KeepCup and now I make my own tea and coffee at home and take it with me on the drive to work. I maybe spend £5 to £10 a month some months, not all, depending on what I'm doing.

I loved Douwe Egberts hazelnut coffee but they've discontinued it which I'm absolutely gutted about!

Was £10 a week or more as I went to costa nearly every day on the way to work and then I always have one if I'm out and about at the weekends. Then I decided to stop as I don't even like Costa that much, it's just the only place that was open at 7 between my house and work.

With a few colleagues we bought a Nespresso and take turns to buy the pods. So now I spend about £20 every 2 months and the coffee is much nicer than Costa dishwater. We do have some nicer places around here ( S London) but none are one before 8.

I don’t know. Some weeks £3, other weeks much more. Coffee with friends is a social thing for me, I do that far more often than I go out drinking booze with people, which usually ends up being a more expensive job for me as it usually ends up with me ordering Chinese food! :o

I normally have one at work twice a week and then I might buy one once a week or so as a treat. So probably £3 max a week.
