I've had an email from Next to say they're changing their bank account & any online or telephone banking payments should be made to the new account details.

I went on online chat with them to verify but got cut off.

Has anybody else had this & changed the details with no issues? The email all seems legit but I'm wary of things like this.

I've had the email, I do believe its legit, but recent experience of changing my own bank account is the system is so efficient these days that it should work through electronically on its own. So I will check it next time I need to make a payment, which possibly won't be until next Christmas but I think it will happen without my intervention.

Their old bank would automatically redirect for good while anyway even in the old days when it wasn't so efficient.

I've had no email or letter.

I haven’t seen this. Could’ve missed it I guess but definitely not read it.

Megan2018 · 08/02/2019 21:45

I had the email. I am going to check my next statement to see what the payment instructions are, haven’t updated the payee details yet. Can’t be bothered to phone but looks legit.

dementedpixie · 08/02/2019 21:46

I haven't had an email but the details i have registered are different to what I have linked to so it looks like they have changed

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 08/02/2019 21:54

Yes but weirdly when I checked the current account I was paying in to, it’s the same. I can’t decide if my banking app has done that itself or I’ve always paid this account. Really odd.

greathat · 08/02/2019 21:56

I've not had anything...

hairypaws · 08/02/2019 21:57

I got that too and it didn't cross my mind it could be a scam. I'm usually really careful of these things. I went ahead and changed my billing details. I will make sure I double check details against next statement.

gamerchick · 08/02/2019 21:59

I haven't had an email or anything else changing anything.
I'm assuming it's a change at their end so not my problem. I'll look at it when I'm due to pay them.

coppercolouredtop · 08/02/2019 22:02

ive had an email the same op.

only buy occasionally from them and dont have an account.

TellerTuesday4EVA · 08/02/2019 22:18

Oh well at least I'm not the only one that got it... strange that a few of you haven't though.

I do use Next a lot & often make a payment mid month but I think the best bet is to log in & pay with my debit card until the next statement comes & check the details on that as a PP said.

I emailed them ( not by return but via the site) they emailed back stating that it is genuine.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 08/02/2019 22:24

I’m confused Confused

Applesaregreenandred · 08/02/2019 22:33

I haven't had such an email. However, when I pay my a/c it's an online payment form , I don't pay into any particular bank.
