I had a scan for mid cycle bleeding about a year ago, all OK and then it stopped anyway. I'm 30, all my smears have been clear. Not on hormonal contraception. I don't have HPV.

A couple of months ago I started bleeding after sex. Went to gp who did swabs etc which came back clear so she's now referred me for an internal scan.

I have horrendous health anxiety and am completely terrified it's cervical cancer which has been missed. It's terrible tonight. I'm a shaking mess. Just need a hand hold.

Please try not to think the worst . I had the same thing and it was totally harmless . There was an erosion on my cervix and that’s what was causing the bleeding after sex.

I know it’s hard to not think the worst when you have health anxiety but hopefully you can find some distractions to take your mind away from it 💐

GP didn't think it was cervical erosion, said my cervix looked healthy. Just so hard not to catastrophize!!!

I can totally understand that . Hopefully you don’t have too long a wait till your hospital appointment .

Gp thinks I'm bananas tbh as smears and scans have all been clear

Hopefully knowing the doctor thinks that can give you some reassurance that they are not worried , and it’s very good everything has came back clear.

I do very much understand though that it’s hard to think calmly when you have health anxiety. Are you getting any help with it ?

I've had so much help for it over the years and nothing has worked

It's got worse since ds was born 3 years ago

Honestly feel like I'm going mad. And I know if it wasn't this it would be something else.
