HELP: defrosted food

Hello. My freezer has been accidentally turned off a few hours ago and the food (frozen chicken and sausages and vegetables and ice cream) has started to thaw out. I would say 70% thawed. Would it be ok just to turn the superfreeze button and get it frozen again quickly. Or should I throw it all away. I could cry as literally filled it yesterday.

You could cook the meat and refreeze. I've cream isn't good when defrosted and refrozen. Veg should be ok to refreeze

I'd let all the meat items and then cook it; definitely dont refreeze. Once they have been cooked thoroughly you can re-freeze them.

Ice cream is horrible if it's thawed so I'd bin that. As for the vegetables, I'd probably risk refreezing them rapidly.

Sorry, my first sentence isnt very clear, definitely dont refreeze thawed meat, you can of course re-freeze it once its cooked.

What about sausages and fish fingers and chicken nuggets. Foods which i think we’re already cooked?

Uncooked sausages just cook and re freeze. I wouldn't risk refreezing nuggets or fish fingers.
Coom it all up and have a party! 😃
