Has anyone ever really been outed?

I NC all the time as I’m so paranoid about being outed. But thinking about it does that ever actually happen? Are there any threads where someone has been the subject of the discussion?

I saw someone I know on here. She gave her daughter a very unusual name. Shortly after she was born, someone resurrected a 6-month-old zombie thread about this very name, complete with surname.

I searched her previous posts because I’m nosy and there were a lot of identifiable details to connect the dots: her first name, job, destination wedding, family arrangement, details of recent outings and a description of her physical appearance.

She’d either name changed or stopped using since then because she didn’t have any recent posts. I didn’t mention it to her. If she was currently active, I would have messaged her so she could name change.

I think I saw someone mention me once and I think someone started a thread about my friend. Neither were bad though!
