And I’m drinking chamomile tea, eating a banana and a flapjack and watching true crime shows on TV - and I’m just the happiest little bunny right now Grin

Oh how times have changed!!

My DH is mid-air on a flight to Dubai for a business trip. DS 16 (youngest DC) is staying over at a friends house. I have the house to myself and have had a long bubble bath and applied a posh face mask and have drunk copious amounts of tea while catching up on Grey's Anatomy. I am now off to bed with my kindle and a new downloaded book, bliss!

Drogosnextwife · 19/01/2019 23:32

I have just polished of the last of a very cheap box of whiskey truffles from Aldi, watching queen of the South in bed. Oh how times have changed indeed 😂

DonaldDucksTowel · 19/01/2019 23:34

Sounds perfect Sunburst unfortunately I still have the muffled tones of DP on the PlayStation in the other room and the DC mooching around in their beds upstairs - a whole night with the house to myself is the stuff of dreams!

I can hear my neighbour snoring.

FloatingthroughSpace · 19/01/2019 23:37

We've been watching some old home videos of when our oldest was 1-2.5 years. We just got them transferred to DVD. Watching them now, knowing what we know, I can see his communication and engagement levels drop off between 18 months and 2 years, and spot that loads of his early speech is echolalic. He's autistic of course. It's bittersweet. He is who he is and we love him.

halfwitpicker · 19/01/2019 23:40

I'm watching TOWIE

It's only 6.40pm here though

SunburstsOrMarbleHalls · 19/01/2019 23:44

DonaldDucksTowel it is an unusual occurrence so am making the most of it, only have my little dog for company but the peace is lovely. Face mask was even more enjoyable as I got it in the clearance section of TK Max.

Times have changed that much that I hardly recognise myself Grin

Solongtoshort · 19/01/2019 23:59

I have just got in from a really crap night out. The food and company where good but one person just sat there as miserable as anything which at times stopped the conversation. I was sitting there thinking of my bed and my lovely warm pjs wishing l had stayed home.

RavenLG · 20/01/2019 00:03

DP was out all day so I was really looking forward to tearing the house upside down and doing a good deep clean, even cleaned the black hole that is my oven. Had a shower, made chicken satay and salt and pepper chips and watched some YouTube shows. It was bliss.

AngelOfDeathNix · 20/01/2019 00:04

I've gained two extra children for a sleepover here with my two. So far one is asleep, my youngest is finding every excuse not to sleep and the older two are on a Friends marathon and not planning to sleep. That'll change when the internet goes off in a few minutes!

kennelmaid · 20/01/2019 00:11

Sitting here with the dogs in front of a cosy fire mumsnetting because I couldn't get to sleep. To Mumsnet is a verb, rightt?

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 20/01/2019 00:13

I've come back from watching Jim Davidson with about 1200 gammon in a theatre. 😳

Some gave him a standing ovation. 😖🙄🤷‍♀️

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 20/01/2019 02:04

I have just finished making DD1 birthday cake. It is decidedly amateur 😂 but very chocolatey and has 12 pink chocolate unicorns on so hoping she will like it. She will be 4!

Sort-of cleaned the kitchen in a half arsed way, off to bed and hoping the babies don't wake up.

Gina2012 · 20/01/2019 02:09

@FloatingthroughSpace Thanks

RightOcciputAnterior · 20/01/2019 02:46

I went to bed at 10pm, having sorted and cleaned my kitchen cupboards beforehand. I used to be very messy, but since my son was born I've had a belated nesting instinct! I'm awake breastfeeding him now while my husband snores away next to me. I wish men had boobs so they could help with night feeds!!!
