It's been a long day and I'm feeling a little weak, so thought I'd watch the Bros documentary. I wasn't a big fan, back in the day, but I'm not ashamed to say, I liked them.. I may have even worn Grolsch tops on my Dr Martens. But WTF!? What a pair of self absorbed, delusional, misinformed idiot's!! If I didn't think that they were serious, I would enjoy it, purely for the comedy value..

It has to be a joke? It's pure David Brent 😂

I’m watching it now. Definitely a spoof. And very clever of them to do so. Take the piss out of themselves a bit, watch it go viral, huge publicity boost, new projects come rolling in.

Not daft, those lads. Wink

the whole movie is real. Moreover, for almost 30 years, they are practically no longer spoken or seen.

Cosmos45 · 19/01/2019 22:26

I don’t believe it’s a spoof, their arguments were just too real, I don’t believe anyone can act as well as that tbh. I watched in horrified fascination but actually felt very sorry for both of them in the end.. yes, their totally deluded and not that bright (the pronunciation of epitome had me hysterical) but as a twin myself I felt very sad for the breakdown in their relationship and ultimately the distress it caused them both. I saw two lost souls very deeply hurt. I started watching it laughing and joking to myself and actually found it to be really heartbreaking.. not a Bros fan at all.. although I did know them growing up in Camberley.. they were at the other secondary school in the town and same year as us.

Cosmos45 · 19/01/2019 22:27

They’re, not their..

Ikeameatballs · 19/01/2019 22:30

I thought they were very badly treated re the death of their sister and the Wogan appearance.

I think they are both bizarre, Matt more so, and have a really warped sense of their life and their importance.

Atalune · 19/01/2019 23:09

ikea what was the wogan thing?

MrsMaker88 · 20/01/2019 09:16

I hope it was a spoof !! Def don’t think it was.

Started out preferring Luke till I realised he just loved playing the victim. Why did he HAVE to sell his wife’s engagement ring?! Matt was the lead singer and naturally got more fame and attention, get over it..

JeremyCorbynsBeard · 20/01/2019 10:14

I watched it because I'd heard how hilarious it was. I can see why people have said this, but I just found it incredibly sad. Neither of them seem to be, or have ever been happy. They seemed damaged, confused and lost.

Ikeameatballs · 20/01/2019 14:26

Their sister died and on the same evening their management made them perform on Wigan and accept platinum records for sales. Now ok, they could have said no but at that young age and under huge pressure it wound have been almost impossible. No mention was made of her death on the show, they just had to be “Bros as usual”.

Camsie30 · 20/01/2019 23:02

Not a single mention of Craig?!?! So weird

longwayoff · 20/01/2019 23:15

On dear. I felt really sorry for their session musicians, who, having already seen it all, had to put up with this pair of divas. Like a pair of Elton Johns.

Jakeyboy1 · 21/01/2019 01:15

It was funny/ weird / unreal. I did wonder if it was a joke. I saw Matt Goss support Mariah Carey years ago and he was great, I would love to see him in Vegas.

Tiredismymiddlename85 · 26/01/2019 09:47

I watched it out of fascination after all the ridicule (I'm too young to have been a fan as I was born 1985). I found it incredibly sad - You realise how big they were and the hysteria that went with them for it then to stop and they're left to their own devices. No wonder these short term big bands/groups just fall apart afterwards. I found it all incredibly tragic.

WheelyCote · 27/01/2019 10:51

Just watching the Bros documentary.

Wanna slap the front singer....very bossy and precious

bonfireheart · 27/01/2019 11:13

They're doing a tour now.
