Totally disappointed with pressure king pro.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

Used it twice, today to do a beef stew. Followed the recipe exactly and it's come out watery with tough beef! Wtf.

Anyone else not impressed?

You can reduce the volume of liquid by using the stew function without the lid on. How long did you cook the beef for? I have been underwhelmed by mine also, it was supposed to revolutionize my cooking in reality I use it to make stock and steam Swede.

Things stick to the bottom and burn grrrr.

For a beef casserole I would put it on pressure cook, stew function, for around 1 hour. Then multi-cook with the lid off to reduce the sauce down. I love mine but you do need to play around with the settings to get things perfect.

1 hour?! Really? I thought it only needed 20 mins?

If anyone has any tried and tested amazing recipes for the PKP I'd be mega grateful.

I absolutely love mine. Never used the recipes from the book though. I get recipes from Facebook groups and there are some fab ones.

Ohh I love mine! I get my beef stew Cooked in 30 mins, lovely and soft. I fill the water to the line and then whilst it's cooking I open the pressure valve slightly to let some steam out so some of the water evaporates. You do need to play around with it a bit.

Mine was a total disappointment. I cooked steak and kidney stew for 45 minutes and got shoe leather and little balls of chewy piss. Put it back on for an hour - no improvement. So I resurrected my 40 year old Prestige High Dome with a sigh of relief - perfect results every time. Pressure King pro got chazzered!

Have u tried watching you tube tutorials Sammie's Pkp site is good she also has a facebook page where we all give advice and share recipes ect. Ive only had mine 2 weeks and i love it. Made bread yest and it was amazing. I think its trial and error with these things. I have a 3ltr one and im using it almost daily.
