Questions about mooncups

As my periods have returned I’m going to have a go at using a mooncup! I have some questions:
I have given birth vaginally twice - will I need the larger size?
Is it still a bit messy - would you recommend wearing a pantyliner in case of leaks?
If the above answer is yes, do you use a washable liner? My main reason for using a mooncup is to reduce my personal contribution to landfill.
Are the cheaper brands as good?

I have googled but I trust the MN opinion more Grin

I'm glad I found this thread as I've been using the Mooncup for a couple of years but don't 100% get on with it as it leaks and I still often have to wear a pad, especially overnight on heavy days. I didn't think of alternatives...has anyone used Saalt? The quiz recommended that one to me...

I've finally ordered one after months of internal debate 😆.

I did the above linked quiz and I've gone for the Fluercup. Period not due for another 3 weeks, so a bit of a wait until I get to try it out.
