DS asleep on me and I'm sitting up so not safe for me to nod off.

Anyone else around to chat?

Another one up with pregnancy insomnia here at 35 weeks. Reading @Mississippilessly posts it seems it's definitely preparation for what's to come!

41 weeks - pregnancy insomnia.
Thoroughly fed up and want to meet my baby now. I've accepted the fact I'm never going to sleep again. Grin

Wow, I hope things get moving for you soon @SadCupcake! You'll still be awake but at least be getting cuddles.

Mississippilessly · 08/01/2019 04:19

SadCupcake is it your first? I was 41+1 if that is any help!

@TinyMarie this is true, I can't wait to have him in my arms now

@Mississippilessly Yes first baby - I've tried everything to coax him out, nothing is working. I'm so uncomfortable and have cried almost everyday so far!

Mississippilessly · 08/01/2019 04:25

I remember that feeling. I was due during the heatwave. The low point was standing in my garden starkers at 5am!

Honestly I'm mentally and physically drained - it sucks as I've had the odd twinge or a little period pain but no other signs. I've had a sweep four days ago which removed my plug, I was soft and 2cm dilates. But nothing seems to be doing anything!

Scared of an induction at this rate. But so badly want him out.

RoxytheRexy · 08/01/2019 04:30

Awake breastfeeding my 3 week old. I’m so exhausted but I feel so much better than I did when heavily pregnant. I can bend down and everything

Mississippilessly · 08/01/2019 04:31

I know it's easy for me to say but try not to be scared about an induction. Lots of people have very positive experiences. The goal is to get your lovely baby out safely. The how will become immaterial so soon afterwards, I promise.

I think it's because they haven't booked me in for a certain day or time, I just have to call each morning and ask if there is a bed free to go in. So the anxiety of it being this Wednesday or the next is a little unnerving.
(Have a phobia of hospitals as it is so trying everything to go natural!)
