I buy pink and gold chargers.
DH doesn't steal these.
Love the idea of the electric shock/fingerprint charger though

ChesterGreySideboard · 05/01/2019 18:36

So then, as suggested above you buy wire in a nice bright colour and then you know straight away who has nicked it.

Unescorted · 05/01/2019 18:36

I would pay good money too! And headphones.....mine took less than 24 hours to grow legs.

BringOnTheScience · 05/01/2019 18:41

Over the years of phone replacements, kindles, etc, we've just accumulated oodles of chargers. Tiny adaptors turn micro-usbs into C chargers. We've replaced a couple of cables, but that's all. The chargers are all over the house in handy locations and don't move.

Fleurdalys · 05/01/2019 18:46

They leave the house.... never to be seen again

My god that burrito method looks a total faff Confused
I turn my duvet cover inside out, put my hands in all the way to the far corners, grap (with my hands all covered up with duvet cover) 2 corners of the duvet which is laid out flat then basically shake hard for about 20 seconds so the cover falls off my arms and drops down to cover the duvet. A 30 second job!
As for the chargers, dp and I are in total agreement. Bastard children. I bought 6 new ones after our summer holidays because we seemed to be missing a few. We are down to our last 2 and although the dc have asked to take the others, I’m still yet to work out what the fuck they have done with all the other ones. Eaten them?? Angry

Just looked my eldest car boot.
Somewhere I'd never choose to go.
3 of my brightly coloured leads all frayed to fuck 😡

I have a rose gold charger for a reason. It's bit cos I like rose gold.

I also need rose gold earphones, which also migrate to DH's ears with surprising speed!

Fleurdalys · 05/01/2019 19:25

I like rose gold.
Sadly my kids don't give a shit.
They take them and ruin them.
I've bought a cheapie lead.
Guarding it with my life 😊

I need the little connector thing that normal headphones plug in to before the iPhone. We have about 10 sets of headphones, 4 connectors, 2 pairs of headphones that don't need connectors and I can't find any of the buggers.

I'll take one of those locks with the finger print electric shock options pls.

You can buy double 13 Amp sockets that have either 1 or 2 USB sockets built in. At least that part wouldn't 'walk'. Then get a stash of suitable cables USB to your phone and hide a couple of them or if you are inclined, clip them to the wall somehow.

1tisILeClerc · 05/01/2019 23:21

Available from Screwfix and most other DIY outlets.

ChesterGreySideboard · 05/01/2019 23:24

We have them in the kitchen and bedroom.

SpoonBlender · 05/01/2019 23:58

I've never understood how people fray their charging cables. It just doesn't happen to ours, even the original Apple ones where the strain relief certainly doesn't look any good.

There must be something that frayers do to them, but I don't know what. Maybe always picking up and putting down in the same way, so the cable gets progressively more twisted around and around? Or just using them with the cable in all the time. If your phone only lasts five hours, spend £20 on a new battery rather than ruining that in cables every three months.

SpoonBlender · 05/01/2019 23:59

I semi-regularly give away cables, we've got so many of them piling up. Again, even original Apple ones, despite only me being the iPhone user and only getting a new one every three or four years.

ChesterGreySideboard · 05/01/2019 23:59

None of mine have ever frayed either. But then they are always left plugged in, not carried about.
